The air quality in Fairbanks, Alaska is worse than in Beijing
Basicamente, a ideia de que o Alaska é um dos locais com baixos índices de poluição, longe dos grandes centros urbanos, uma verdaderia opção ecológica atmosfericamente falando, está errada.
Em Novembro, as leituras feitas à qualidade do ar atingem valores que são piores que os apresentados em Beijim
Existe uma densa floresta que fornece madeira em abundância à população, e as alternativas de aquecimento são bastante caras. Então, há que queimar tudo o que têm e podem, desde a habitual madeira, a carcaças de animais...E ninguém faz nada em relação a isto até porque é a América e lá faz-se o que se quer, no que diz respeito a des-respeitos ambientais! (tradução livre do conteúdo do post).

Projeto Educativo Municipal - Visita pelo Património:
No âmbito do Projeto Educativo Municipal - Assimetrias da cidade, os alunos do 10ºG e do 12ºI da Escola Básica e Secundária Dr. Serafim Leite visitaram o património de S. João da Madeira.
S. João da Madeira reúne um interessante conjunto de edifícios históricos e industriais. Diferentes influências arquitetónicas foram desenhando os contornos desta cidade.
Nesta atividade os alunos ficaram a conhecer esses edifícios e as suas histórias para numa próxima sessão, em contexto de sala de aula, projetarem a sua visão criativa sobre os contornos desta cidade.
